A vintage Ronald Hayes Pearson, 14k gold modernist pin. Abstract form. Signed Ronald Pearson on the back of the pin and marked 14K. Ronald Pearson was a renowned metalsmith and is an elected fellow of the American Craft Council.
His modernist and abstract design jewelry signify the vintage, retro, mid-century modern, ad expressionist form of jewelry and accessories that evolved during the 1950s-1970s. Similar to the jewelry works of Alexander Calder in its sophisticated simplicity.
Pearson was a founding member of the Society of North American Goldsmiths (SNAG) and had works included in the Smithsonian and other prestigious institutions.
