Shop this Rosenthal Traumland porcelain jug for sale. Walter Mutze designed this vintage jug for the Traumland series by Rosenthal. The decorative jug form vase dates to the 1950s. The jug is decorated with a colorful hand-painted brown ground color with applied gilt decoration and vibrant hand-painted floral decoration. Similar to other examples of the Rosthenthal Traumland series, this vessel is elegantly gilded, and the color scheme vibrant hand-painted flowers on a brown-toned backdrop. The underside base includes the signature Rosenthal Germany stamp Graumland W. Mutze Handgemalt. 2617/2.
Walter Mutze was a master porcelain decorator who lived from 1893 until 1963. Between 1913 until 1961, he worked for Rosenthal, rising to the position of top master in the art department.
