French bronze centerpiece. 19th century. By Auguste Nicolas Cain (1821-1894). Signed “Cain” in the landscape. The bronze ormolulu decorated centerpiece depicts relief rabbits in the brush and hills with a game bird flying overhead. The center of decorated with a medallion of hunting-related objects, including a horn and hunting basket. — the dish seated on tripod legs, the underside decorated with brush and botanicals.
