Product Information
Add colorful and expressive art to your interior decor and shop this Japanese festival art print for sale. Created by world-famous mingei folk art Yoshitoshi Mori this Japanese woodblock print is entitled “Festival Parade”. Depicting colorful, expressive characters and animals, this engaging ukiyo-e woodblock print is perfect for anyone looking for vintage Japanese wall art created in the 20th-century modern tradition of the mingei art movement founders Yanagi Soetsu, and Serizawa Keiisuke.
Mori was known for his technique of kappazuri stencil prints and became one of the founders of the Sosaku Hanga art movements or “creative prints” movement in the 1950s. His works were seen as a transition from the traditional woodblock prints of the Edo and Meiji period to the modern aesthetic of 20th-century art sensibility.
This is a charming and warm Japanese fine art print and would be a welcome addition for anyone looking to buy wall art to create a warm hue for their 20th century or vintage interior decor. This work is also ideal for anyone looking to buy woodblock prints by Yoshitoshi Mori. This original hand-signed art print was acquired through a Northeast private collection and retains gallery labels and accession numbers on the reverse of the art frame.
