Shop this imari porcelain antique bowl for sale. This antique bowl features a vibrant band of red and gold botanical lotus vines and decorative symbols of underglaze blue, red, and gilt-decorated highlights. The bowl medallion center includes a hand-painted underglaze blue landscape scene of bamboo and alone farmer tending the field, with gilt-painted highlights. The underside of the bowl displays an underglaze blue Arita porcelain mark. This bowl arrived at us from a collector of Japanese porcelain in the mid-west. It makes a tasteful addition to various interior decor styles as a genuine antique tabletop decor object dating to the Meiji era of the 19th century.

Condition
The surface displays abrasions and wear consistent with the age of this item. The underside of the bowl displays kiln firing imperfections and a chip to the interior rim of the foot.
