This beautiful plate is an excellent example of Chinese porcelain Famille Rose from the early 20th century. The quality of the painting and the overall condition of the piece is very good. The centerpiece plate is decorated with a central scene of a house surrounded by flowers and leaves. The rim of the plate is painted with a continuous landscape scene. There are eight cartouches on the outer rim of the plate, each containing a different flower. The painting is very well done with fine details.
The Famille Rose palette is used throughout the piece. The colors are exceptionally vibrant and fresh. This is a beautiful and well-preserved example of Chinese porcelain Famille Rose from the early 20th century, circa the late Qing Dynasty-Republic Period. It would make a great addition to any collection or home décor. The underside of the plate includes a 4-character iron red seal.
