The Mustafa Rakim Efendi Ottoman Calligraphy Panel is a beautiful piece of calligraphy. It was created by Mustafa Rakim Efendi, a leading calligrapher of his time. The panel is made of marbled paper and inscribed passage in blak ink. Ottoman calligrapher Mustafa Râkim (1757–1826; Ottoman Turkish Modern Turkish: Mustafa Rakm) was born in that country. He expanded and reformatted Hafiz Osman’s style, emphasizing technical precision, which expanded the field of calligraphy to include the Sülüs script and the Neish script. The frames reverse includes a label of provenance from H. Barutcugil, and the E.H. Ayverdi Collection.

The frame measures 7.5 x 9.25inches.
Condition
The frame is sold without glass—the ink on marbled paper with minor surface imperfections. The sheet has been irregularly trimmed, and the reverse of the paper cleaned.
