This sterling bar pin with the inlaid mineral marcasite and other gemstones perfectly represent Victorian-era fashion accessories. Marcasite, also referred to as white iron pyrite, is a signature ornament of Victorian-era jewelry. This bar pin is dated to the end of the Victorian era, circa 1900 or the early 20th century. The reverse of the bar pin is marked Sterling and contains a metalsmith markers stamp.
The pin features complex rounded edges with a relief decorated border. The center three gemstones feature a center square cut stone and two rounded stones, one on each side of the center medallion. The bar is further detailed with inlaid marcasite roundels.

Condition
