Shop and discover this Theatre De Lodeon decorative plate. Dated to the 19th century, this lead-glazed Earthenware is referred to as creil ware or Creil-Montereau faience. The transfer printed plate displays the Odeon-theatre de l’Europe, which is listed as one of the great six national theatres in France.
The theatre is located at two rue Corneille in the 6th arrondissement of Paris on the Seine’s left bank. The feature is further located next to the Luxembourg Garden and the Luxembourg Palace. The plate is further decorated with a thick yellow glazed rim with black highlighted lines. The reverse marked Medaille d’Argent, exposition de 1819.
