This Mughal portrait Indian miniature painting for sale dated to the 18th/19th century of the Mughal era, 1526-1857. The painting depicts a military figure courtier standing in profile with a sword and shield to his left on a mint green ground, shown wearing opulent jewelry in the form of rubies and pearls with various opaque pigments throughout the painting of mint green, pink, orange, and vivid blues and reds.
The painting is mounted on thick paper and composed of gouache with gold leaf and silver leaf embellishments throughout the well-detailed image.
