The sheets reverse includes handwritten notations with the artist’s signature “Wolcott,” “Hialeah Miami,” and “Feb 39.” The negative is cataloged in the Library of Congress as LC-USF33-030463-M4 [P&P] LOT 1602 (corresponding photographic print). The sheets reverse with the Library of Congress hand stamp on verso. The original photograph negative dated to February of 1939. This photograph dates to the 1960s-1970s. The back of the sheet with pencil notations and inscribed and signed “Mar 39 Wolcott, Miami Beach.” This original photograph part of the 1930s FSA photography program catalog by Roy Stryker, part of Styker’s shooting scripts. The black and white photograph depicts the crowd of the horse races.
