Shop this sunbathing poolside photograph for sale by FSA photographer Marian Post Wolcott. This gelatin silver print was printed from the original negative, from June in January, Miami Beach, Florida. The sheets reverse includes handwritten notations with the artist’s signature “Wolcott,” “Miami, Beach,” and “March 39.” The negative is cataloged in the Library of Congress as LC-USF33- 030466-M2 [P&P] LOT 1602 (corresponding photographic print) Library of Congress Control Number.

The image is part of the Farm Security Administration’s collection and part of the Office of War Information Photograph Collection (Library of Congress). Library of Congress Prints and Photographs Division Washington, DC 20540. The sheets reverse with a Library of Congress handstamp and signed and dated ” March 39 Wolcott Miami Beach” and additional inventory numbers in an unknown hand. The gelatin silver print was printed in the 1960s. The black and white photograph depicts a lady sunbathing in a swimsuit at the side of a pool on Miami beach basking in the sun.

The photograph measures 8 x 10 inches. The image measures 6.50 x 9.50 inches.

The photograph displays circular edge loss and a small crease to the margin edge. The photograph surface displays minor abrasions and surface imperfections with markings and pencil notations on the sheet’s reverse.
